WHAT I CAN CREATE FOR YOU
Common requests for commercial and private commissions

MURALS AND LARGE-SCALE WORK
Murals are an impactful way to bring creativity and flair to a space.
Commercially, murals and window art are ideal for cafes, restaurants and businesses wanting to draw more customers into their premises. The right design can also encourage the public to promote your business online by sharing the artwork on social media.
In homes, wall art can create an inspiring and uplifting living space, particularly in bedrooms, children's rooms, and home offices.
Large-scale artwork I've made include the Bee in the City artwork and window art for Travelling Man, Manchester.
STORYBOARDS AND ILLUSTRATIONS
Bespoke illustration adds a premium dimension to proposals, sales pitches, presentations and demonstrations. Rather than using stock imagery, you can commission illustrations with meaning that are made with your brand guidelines in mind.
My past projects include storyboards for video production company White Collar Videos and point of sale illustration for events company Beer & Co.

EDITORIAL ILLUSTRATION
I've created illustrations to accompany copy writing in magazines, newspapers and books - drawing interest and demonstrating key ideas.
For example I've created illustrated for Waterfront Life Magazine, Grapevine Zine, and a poetry book published by South Yorkshire Young Writers.
FAMILY AND COUPLE PORTRAITS
Portraits are a thoughtful and unique way of representing important relationships in people's lives. It's a popular request for birthday and Christmas presents.
I've created a variety of portraits from anniversary gifts given to significant others, to family portraits, to creating keepsakes of loved ones who have passed away. Each person has a personality and a story that I try to capture.
I can create portraits in a range of styles and mediums, from realistic paintings to colourful illustrations.

LANDSCAPES
A new trend in requests are unique artworks based on sentimental places. This is a great idea for people who love art but are not as fond of having portraiture in their homes or offices.
Places can include favourite holiday destinations, where people met or got married, or aspirational places where people intend on visiting.
If you'd like to view more landscapes, see my illustrative work here.
PET PORTRAITS
Pet portraits are an increasingly popular gift idea for friends, family and partners. Portraits of fur babies past and present make a thoughtful and unique keepsake that someone can treasure for life.
Most of my commissions have been dog portraits in pen and ink and acrylic paint. However I can depict any animal in a range of mediums, providing there are a few good quality photographs to base the portrait on.

HOW TO REQUEST A COMMISSION
Commissioning an artwork always starts with a conversation. If you're interested in having one made, send me a text, email or request in the contact form below and we can have a chat about it.
I will find out what you're looking for in terms of subject, medium and deadline, and give you a quote based on that. If you're happy with that, once you've sent me a few quality pictures I can start your commission!
If you you aren't sure of what you're after then don't worry. I can work to a brief as loose or strict as you like.
FAQS
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
I can work to most deadlines including rush orders if necessary. However to get the best quality artwork, it's best to send your request in at least one month before the desired delivery date.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
I charge hourly for commissions and offer a discounted rate for private commissions. Prices therefore vary hugely depending on the size of the artwork, design and medium used. For example, a simple penned A4 illustration may cost around £40, whereas an A3 oil painting may cost £75+, and a large wall mural will be in the region of £350.
If you have a certain budget in mind, tell me when you ask for your commission and I can let you know what is feasible within that price range.
HOW SHOULD I TELL YOU WHAT I WANT?
The best way to communicate what you need is to find an artwork of mine (or someone else's) that's in the style you like.
I will also ask you lots of questions such as what medium you want, the size, scene, and whether you want something in colour or black and white. A bit of prior research and consideration into this before you tell me will ensure your commission comes out as expected.
You can contact me through email, text or contact form below.
